Noah Hall作为Whiskey Priest的主唱，在自己这张《Hungry》专辑中最大的特点就是一把吉他，一副好嗓音唱到底。《Waiting Game》舒缓的节奏与Noah Hall 的演唱营造了他所喜欢的宁静，柔和气氛。每首歌曲听起来都是那么的轻盈，甜蜜。
Whiskey Priest作为小众独立团体Easterly的代言人Noah Hall的个人乐团，带来的这张《Hungry》是一张被喜欢上窜下跳的音乐消费群体认证的大众专辑，氛围如同肥皂泡般的连续剧。这不是那种愤世嫉俗者偏激的主观说法，事实上，那些非常了得的艺人，从Feist到来自以色列的新人，女歌手Yeal Naim，在事业方面都保持有很高的曝光率，这就是现今的音乐环境，这种随性与自由造就了60年代末的FM电台和80年代初的MTV频道。这张Hungry给人的感觉，无论Hall是否有意而为之，这张专辑在那种高曝光率上取得了完美的效果，轻柔、民谣化的原音吉他演奏，经常加入一些微妙的弦乐和/或者后期处理式的电子元素，唱主角的还是Noah Hall那男童般的可爱嗓音。最重要的还是，歌曲的创作显得尤为强势，先声夺人的开场曲“Here”拥有成为畅销单曲的潜质，感觉如同不那么萎靡的James Blunt 或 Five For Fighting。这张专辑深受Donovan和Big Star的影响 ，以之作为参照，但是他们玩的既不是Devendra Banhart式的酸性民谣复兴或复古式的power pop。这张专辑听上去现代的元素更加浓郁一些，歌曲本身就能构建出一种永恒经典的味道。当然还是有些不足之处在里面，比如“永恒得过了头”的“Love and a Gun”加入了John Lennon的唱词，已经非常接近糟糕的地步，我们在这里也不用再列举另一首他们翻唱的“Sweet Child O’Mine”……但总的来说，这张专辑还是显示出了相当不错的潜质。
